Fabric Ductwork

Fabric Ductwork a.k.a. Air Socks

FabriDuct is woven polyester cloth ductwork which displaces air along the entire length of the duct through various fabrics and linear vented slots. Its light weight means a lighter roof load and less need for heavy equipment in installation

Round HVAC Duct made of Fabric…

Have you ever considered the idea of unzipping duct work and throwing it into an industrial washing machine? Probably not because when people think of the HVAC Ductwork above them, they usually think of metal Spiral Pipe and Snaplock pipe or the Foil Back Flex Duct. But Ductwork made of Fabric is an option and one that is catching on.

Many design plans on specific types of jobs like Gymnasiums, Fitness Centers and Indoor Swimming Pools have started calling for a Fabric Duct Work. HERO FabriDuct makes a product that’s lightweight, hygienic, quiet, easy to install, and easy to clean and re-install.  From a distance this type of Ddt might conjure up similarities to the colorful happy socks your drawers at home. But this is a durable woven polyester ductwork designed to displace air through linear vented slots throughout it’s system.

Hero FabriDuct is a fabric alternative to spiral of rectangular ductwork. It’s porous design eliminates the need for spiral diffusers, and it is offered in over 25 colors making it a natural fit to replace paintable ductwork.

Fabric ductwork is quieter, cleaner, and more efficient than traditional metal ducts. The use of properly engineered FabriDuct™ eliminates “hot and cold” zones because air is evenly dispensed along the entire duct.

Antimicrobial Treatment

Hero FabriDuct™ offers a cloth treated with Ultra Fresh for those areas where bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi might compromise product performance. Applied to the cloth prior to manufacturing, Ultra Fresh actively works to discourage and destroy the bacteria and fungi, keeping the ducts cleaner and fresher. Best of all it is a safe and environmentally friendly application.

Ultra Fresh treatments are such efficient antimicrobial agents that only small quantities are required to provide effective control. Data collected over many years demonstrates that normal use of Ultra-Fresh should not cause any safety concerns, either in the industrial plants where treatments are applied, to users of Ultra-Fresh treated products or to the environment.

All Ultra-Fresh treatments are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States. This agency thoroughly reviews all available safety and environmental information before granting a registration. Ultra-Fresh treatments are also registered or are in the process of being registered with appropriate agencies in other countries.

Each EPA registration covers specific applications at the use levels necessary to give antimicrobial protection to an treated article. Industrial users should contact TRA to confirm that a particular application is approved in their market area.

As with any industrial product, normal standards of care must be maintained when carrying out Ultra-Fresh treatments. Industrial users should consult the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets before working with any Ultra-Fresh product.
