MF-12A Pinspotter: More Powerful, yet more Compact than the MFPT

Contractors spoke and Duro Dyne listened: a Compact Weld Pin machine that was smaller in size but stronger in capacity.

The MFPT Compact Pinspotter was a very popular and dependable machine suited for it’s era: one in which two thicknesses of Liner (1/2” and 1”) dominated the specs. As time went on, Liner specifications increased to 1-1/2” and 2” in some regions as Engineers became more particular regarding the Thermal and Acoustic specs of Rectangular Duct. At the same time CONTRACTORS wanted a machine that was truly compact vs being borderline “table top mount” and though they wanted a smaller machine they didn’t want to have to move it around the shop as much because of the limited 6 ft long cord or hard wire the cord into the machine as was a standard requirement with the MFPT.

The MF12A met all of the new criteria: a larger Transformer capable of welding 4” long pins to 20 ga capacity duct, standard with a 10 ft cable gun cable and 10 ft Ground Cable and built within a smaller framed case.

The MF12A has been such a success that Duro Dyne recently introduced a modification that would allow it to operate as a Bulk Feed Pinspotter like the Mach III but with a 4 ft throat that uses the MF12A as a power source.
