In a typical rectangular duct job, 75% is comprised of straight runs of Duct.  Automating the fabrication of these Duct Sections can take a 2 day process to a 2 hour one. Vicon intentionally manufacturers their Coil Lines so that the contractor can dip their toes in the water with a Front End Line that is expandable to a Full Wrap Line at a later date, thus avoiding having to purchase another machine when they decide to go “Full Wrap”.

A Full Wrap Line is comprised of several stations, each built independently so that shops can modify to suit their desired production needs. We’ve profiled each of these stations below.  Click and open for more information on each .

1. Uncoilers

Different gauges of metal for each cradle

2. Beading & Notching

Operator is able to bring the notch heads in and out, adjusting the depth of the notch for either TDC / TDF or Slip & Drive using the hand wheels vs. manual placement

3. Shear

4. Transfer Tables

The Transfer Tables are a required addition in moving the blank thru the rest of the forming process as it becomes an L Section or Full Wrap Section

The Lockseam System is built for ease of use and reliability. The system accepts beaded, notched and sheared blanks and automatically forms the Pittsburgh or Snaplock seams
