This 12 volt double cut hand shear weighs in at 3 lbs and has a capacity of 16 ga mild steel, 18 ga Stainless and 26 ga Galvanized Spiral Pipe, thru the seam.
Compared to other double cut shears, the Trumpf C160 is the only brand that offers a chip clipper. This is a vital piece of equipment if you plan on stopping anywhere in the sheet giving the ability to cut angles with no pigtail left behind.
Trumpf’s C160 has a unique shape making it more ergonomic and able to work closer to the metal. The operator’s pushing hand is close to the cut; this in turn leads to more accurate cutting.
The C160 ships a with thick metal 16 ga blade, but several other task-oriented blades are available—such as S.S., Curved (for ultra-tight turning radius). The left and right stationary blades are able to be flipped (an Allen wrench is provided). And the center blade on both models of C160 removes easily with very little effort (the standard C160 model requires no tool).
Corded and cordless models are available with a light weight of 3-4.3 lbs, meaning less worker fatigue. Hard cases are included with each model and cordless models include battery and charger.
