Conklin stocks Plain Insulation Board, also called IB Board, in 1-1/2″ x 24″ x 48″ 3-lb density. Used as Insulation but not used in air stream. Certain specs call for 1-1/2″ Board on the inside of some curbs from manufactures of equipment, Knauf’s Insulation Board is brown – ecofriendly – no formaldehyde. Johns Manville makes a popular “yellow board” but the formaldehyde is what gives the JM board its yellow color.
