Neoprene Gasketing is used in Rectangular Duct that needs to be opened for inspection , cleaning, testing fire and smoke alarms, Duct that’s connected in the air as it’s easier to reposition for assembly as opposed to a butyl that pulls apart like chewing gum. Also used in Pre Fab duct jobs in which Test & Balance is done in shop, then duct taken apart and to job site where it’s connected with Butyl.
