Tennsmith has a rating of 2x roll diameter (3″) [at capacity (16 ga) at full width (48″)] — 16 ga x 48″ would roll to a diameter of approx 6″. Lighter gauge metals would roll to a tighter diameter.
Two front rolls that sit almost on top of one another are the initial pinch rolls, the back roller is the bending roll. How tight the bending roll is adjusted to the two pinch rolls will determine the degree of the curve. This back bending roll comes standard with an Alignment Groove that runs across the Longitudinal of the roll. As the workpiece goes into groove, it squares up for proper forming serving the purpose like a square arm would serve to a 52″ Shear. Wiring Grooves are standard on the bottom of the two front rolls.
