Compared to traditional double-wall spiral duct, Grooved Duct Board can reduce fabrication time and material costs by nearly 50% without a corresponding loss in acoustical or thermal performance. From an installation perspective, the difference could be even more significant because spiral duct with Grooved Duct Board is half the weight and eliminates the need for a fabricated double-wall flange connector in favor of single flanges or slip couplings.
Four drive rollers and a 3/4 HP motor provide the grip and power to quickly pull duct board through 19 18° Vee blades, 1 9° flap blade, and 1 standard cut-off blade. Quick-release clamps on all tools allow for fast and easy adjustment.
- Power requirements: 120V, single phase, 50Hz or 60Hz. Less than 15 amps required at maximum load.
- Board feed rate: 1 linear foot per second (0.3 m/s).
