Flagler 18 Ga Heavy Duty Pittsburgh Model
Brand Flagler Dimensions 56" L x 24" W x 41" H Horsepower 1-1/2 HP Phase 3PH Stations 7 Shipping Weight 720 lbs Manufacturer The Flagler Corp Capacity 18 to 26 Ga Voltage 230V Speed 45 FPM Pocket/Material 3/8" (1-1/8") The most common rollformer in HVAC duct fabrication is the 20-gauge capacity Pittsburgh machine. However, some jobs specify 18-gauge material for larger or high-pressure duct sections. Shops without a heavy-gauge Pittsburgh machine may be forced to weld longitudinal seams, significantly increasing labor costs.
The Model 18 Pittsburgh is a 7-station machine that uses 1-1/8" of material to roll-form a 3/8" female Pittsburgh pocket at 45 ft/min. One outboard side is available for additional forming rolls. Capacity: 18–24 gauge.
Mates with 1/4" or 5/16" right-angle flange (male Pittsburgh) rolls to form the Pittsburgh lock.
Optional Outboard / Auxiliary Roll Sets (Choose One):
- 3/8" Acme Lock / Double Seam Rolls (20–26 gauge) — #17-150
- 1/2" Acme Lock / Double Seam Rolls (16–20 gauge) — #17-100
- 1/4" Right-Angle Flange Rolls (20–26 gauge) — #17-400-20
- 1/4" Right-Angle Flange Rolls (16–20 gauge) — #17-400-16 — FL-P18-RAF
- FL-4IN1 5/8" Tap-In 4-in-1 Roll Set (22–28 gauge) — #17-300
- 1-1/8" Drive Cleat Rolls (20–28 gauge) — #17-200
- FL-P20HS-7-HR — 1/2" x 180° Hem Rolls (20–26 gauge) — #17-800 | Video: Hem Rolls on 7-Station Flagler
- 1/2" Male Button Lock Tooling (for crossover setup) — #62-000-M7
- 5/16" 20-gauge Female Pittsburgh Rolls (for dual Pittsburgh setup) — #17-700
- Short Parts Feeder for Auxiliary Rolls — #16-500-7
The machine features an arc-welded, heavy-duty steel frame with a heavy top plate. Double matched V-belts are driven by a 2-hp motor operating on standard three-phase power. The three-piece shaft design virtually eliminates the high maintenance costs associated with single-shaft designs used by other manufacturers.
The machine is two-sided, with the opposite outboard side available for optional rolls, including Drive Cleat, Double Seam, or 3-in-1 rolls.
