#46 1/8" Steel Pop Rivet
Brand Duro Dyne® Material Steel Rivet Diameter 1/8 in Manufacturer Duro Dyne Maximum Grip 2 We stock pop rivets in galvanized steel, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, and painted aluminum. Pop rivets are used to attach collars to wyes and other fittings and to secure two pieces of metal together. They are commonly used when a spot welder or clinching machine is not available. Roofers also use pop rivets for gutters and gutter components, such as elbows and outlets, as well as flashing.
#42 rivets are the most common size used in HVAC and sheet metal applications. The rivet body is 1/8" in diameter. The stem is the thinner portion that the rivet tool pulls, breaking off automatically on the final pull to complete the fastening process.
#42 rivets are often used with #30 drill bits because the resulting hole is slightly larger than 1/8", allowing for easier rivet insertion.
