Greenseam Plus Snaplock Pipe

Using Greenseam Plus in the field means labor savings because there’s no need for bucket and brushed duct sealant. It also means less install time on ladders reducing safety risks.

There’s a shortage of labor in the commercial construction market; this has elevated the need to reduce as much job site labor as possible. For the HVAC contractor, one of these job site tasks is the sealing of the Snaplock Pipe . It’s almost always done with bucket and brush in the air. The appeal of the Greenseam Plus is that it is a presealed Snaplock Pipe on both the longitudinal and transverse connections eliminating the need to seal the pipe . Once it’s hung, it’s done…and thus the labor and material costs typically required for duct sealing are removed.

What does the Green stripe on the end of the Snaplock Pipe mean?

...dissect it and you’ll see the gasket lining the interior of the pipe so that the transverse joint seals when mated with the crimped end of another 5 ft section.

Installation

The longitudinal seam gasket is an EPDM rubber gasket, and the transverse seam is a foam gasket.
