One of the most manual tasks in Duct Shops is the process of laying out, measuring, and manually cutting Liner Fittings to their corresponding metal Fitting. Add to that the excessive waste accumulated from measuring mistakes and poor cut optimization and you’ve identified the most inefficient of any of the Duct Shops processes.

Shops use 20% more Duct Liner each year than necessary simply because they don’t optimize their cuts on fittings.

Identical to a Plasma Table, except this system uses a Router Bit instead of a Torch

Vicon’s Liner Cutting System is a breakthrough in Duct Fabrication technology by allowing a shop to Cut Liner the same way their Plasma Table cuts Metal. Synchronized on the same cutting software and paired together on an Aluminum Gantry that moves fast along the 5 x 10 or 5 x 20 workspace, one raises out of the way while the other is processing and vice versa. The Liner Cutting system is the natural compliment to any Plasma Table because it works WITH it, interfacing to automatically downsize and cut Duct Liner to the corresponding sheet Metal burned out on the Plasma Table.

Shops will feed the Vicon 5 x 10 Liner Table with either their old LS Liner Sizer or Duro Dyne’s new LSU model shown here:
