Duro Dyne’s Mach 3 Pinspotter has a more efficient transformer and a wider mouth design than their FG-1 or Mach 1 or Mach 2 models. The transformer design will weld pins to 18ga galvanized steel , an improvement over the FG-1 models which welded to steel only as heavy as 20 ga and even at that would not get a good weld except on 22 and lighter. A new heavier duty vibrator bowl and base work easily weld 2” pins and even mange to weld 4” long pins, rarely seen except in some pockets of the country. The floating upper weld tip assembly design will lengthen the life of the Weld Cable , allowing for a noticeable increase in weld cable and weld tip longevity which means that the cost of consumables is greatly reduced. Shops with FG-1’s who are used to spending money on replacement #17191 Upper Weld Tip Assembly ,#17192 Lower Weld Assembly for FGs and Bottom and top Replacement Plates for FGs will appreciate this.
