Then we’ve got a solution for you...
Using the same tool, users can load different dies for different applications...
- #2 die for AccuFlange connection to Spiral wall
- #2+ die for Galvanized Ductmate Flange connection to the ductwork
- #3 die for Stainless Ductmate Flange connection to the ductwork
| Die Size | Capacity (combined thickness) |
|---|---|
| #1 | .031 - .059 |
| #2 | .062 - .079 |
| #2+ | .083 - .098 |
| #3 | .122 - .138 |
(Capacity is the combined thickness of all pieces)
According to Trumpf's specs, the #2+ will not work on .068, but the #2 will:
ECONOflange and AccuFlange 18 ga (.045) + Spiral pipe 24 ga (.023) = .068
TR350 Trumpf Clinching Tool weighs approximately 17 lbs and is used as an alternative to screws when attaching the two 20 ga Galvanized legs of the Ductmate slide on Frame to the Duct wall in between.
When used with the 2 + die, the Clinch holds perfectly without puncturing through the 3 pieces. The connection is so strong that it cannot be pulled apart; the only 100% leakproof method of fastening this connection; maximum capacity on all sheets combined cannot exceed 10 gauge (.125).
When used with the 3 Die, the TR350 clinches Stainless Steel Ductmate Flange—a major labor and material savings for the contractor.
