Volume Damper

...how to identify a shop installing these in-house

How do you know if a shop is making and installing Dampers in the Square to Round Transitions they make...?

...look for the Round Holes on the Sleeve.

This means that they are installing a Volume Damper in the shop before it goes out to the field.

Rubber Bushings with Square ID used to connect the Damper and Rod through the transition.

  1. This round volume damper is often a Round Damper Blade with the 3/8” Square Rod already attached, often using our Duro Dyne HDJD in 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” round. (DDHDJD06, 08, etc).
  2. The contractor slides the long portion thru the Square opening and thru one of the round holes on the sleeve.
  3. The remainder slides in and is secured on the short end side with a Bushing like our yellow colored BKPR83 3/8” Square ID Round OD Rubber Bushing.
