With a capacity of 22 gauge Galvanized over a bending length of 48-1/4”, the 4 ft 22 ga Box and Pan Bench mount Brake (U4822) is one of the most common machines in every duct shop, large and small.
It’s referred to as a “Finger Brake” because, instead of a solid clamping bar like the S4822 Straight model, the U4822 has an assortment of 16 each machine hardened fingers in widths of 2”, 3”, and 4”. The shop can leave the fingers attached and use as a straight brake or remove and adjust the fingers to make Boxes and Pans or anything that already has an existing bend.
Weighing in at 280 lbs, the Model U4822 is heavier than the 220 lb Model S4822 but still light enough to be used in the shop or taken to the Jobsite.
